St. James' C.E. First School, Alderholt
Welcome to St. James' School.
Located in the East Dorset village of Alderholt, our school serves the local
community, providing a happy, caring and secure atmosphere for children aged 4
to 9 years.
As a
'Church of England' school we aim to offer to children of all faiths, not only
a high standard of education, but also the opportunity to get to know God
through our faith. Each child is encouraged to work to their full potential, in
a disciplined and confident manner.
We aim to serve our community by providing an education of the highest
quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. We encourage an
understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promote Christian
values through the experience our school offers to all its pupils.
The staff, children and Governors have established a "living"
school motto, which has become a feature of our school life -
We are all God's family and we will try our best, and
love and respect, and care for others as Jesus taught us.
We hope that you find the school web site both
interesting and informative. Please get in touch with the school if you would
like any further information.
